India is known to be a country full of contradictions. While on one hand, women are worshipped as deities, on the other hand, women are not treated with respect, and neither are they offered timely treatment. This is a sad state of affairs that needs to be looked into especially in rural parts of the country. Maternal and child health care is treated as one of the prime components of health care. As per World Health Organization, 50-70% of maternal deaths occur in the postpartum period.
When it comes to Women’s Welfare, we offer awareness on maternal and foetal care, postpartum, intrapartum, and antenatal care. Education has remained to be a key focus area so that there are more cases of planned pregnancy and less complexity. In India, particularly in rural and underserved areas, it has been seen that many women’s and babies’ lives are lost due to complications that arise during pregnancy and childbirth. By holding proper education sessions on childbirth and postpartum, we ensure that there are a lesser number of deaths and more successful cases.
